Awesome Tom.

Are you using a mix of wood veneers? What sort of thickness?

Max,
Using Abachi 1,5 mm. The dark part I stained Abachi with epoxy mixed with chestnut and black pigment.
I've run out of veneers now and will have to re-supply.

love your work Tom.

I just finished making a BRM/Paipo style board to go on my Zeeko foil and am already planning a smaller version.

Agree though that a board that does well all the things you like in kiting would be awesome to have/build if such a thing is possible.

Max,
I'm not a believer of multi purpose design. Compromise is inevitable.
But, I'm retro fitting one of my surfboards to take my foil. To do this, I have made a spacer that fits between foil strut plate ( Moses with standard 165x90 bolt pattern), and reinforcement in thru board bolt holes. That way surfboard has no change to bottom shape, but board will gain weight.
So perhaps it's not impossible to combine paipo or surfboard with foil.

Sanding stage is most boring, but good craftsmanship at beginning makes it easier

BWD, don't understand your question. Sanding is mostly about filling the weave. If the weave/ glassfiber isn't perfect, it's going to sand through and be a mess.
