You also don't have to have a round bar. You can stack plates to end up with rectangular bar core, and then add eva roundels to make it comfortable.
If you ignore the trim system experiment, you can see the plate approach below.

1.Because the ergonomics of flying a kite is different than steering a bike.
2. People have, not a good enough reason to have it.
3. Only kooks ride with their hands at the outside ends of their bars.

Yep, why limiting yourself to only one, so after the race, analyse and profit. Do you race? :naughty:

Hard to find a naked bar. Especially one with parts that don't corrode. One without EVA BS thar adds nothing and wears out. Now they want to fit clicky! line adjusters inside the bar? No thanks. What if you want longer or shorter than stock? For example, Hein had a cool shorty bar he used to slow a smaller kite for wakes in big winds. These custom floating carbon bars look sweet to me.

OP: Might check out the loco4viento Loco bar if you can find a pic.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I have been using a mountain bike carbon bar with 9 degree sweep for a couple of months now. See this album: https://photos.google.com/u/1/share/AF1 ... sxazhpZFRR

My favorite feature is the sliding width adjustment system based on a prusik-like knot. Makes it very easy to adjust to different kites and conditions, even while kiting. It requires a bit of force to move (water helps), but does not move at all when not wanted. Also, the bar is closed off with corks, and is light enough (~300g at 70cm) to float.

There is such bar - Blade Unibar and you can buy it separately (bar only). It has been on the market for several years.
Btw they just released a new 3rd gen.

I've just sort of finished this bar:

It is a switch V1 center piece with carbon tubes and cork grip. Can't wait to try it out.

Here is an album with more pictures:
