Dincer

let me know if you need more SS inserts :)

For the returning customers, heaps better price :)

Btw, 2400g is, well, heavy for me. Trust me, you do not need 200g FG since already stiff. Go for it if you're like >80kg or more:)

What is not visible on your pic is a FG under the inserts :( With no FG, there is a chance to pull them out since the load is more concentrated.

Something for next one :)

This is what I mean. Pic taken after few years of bashing:

Hi D,

I have not yet glassed the board, but will add small patches of glass on both sides of the inserts. Thanks for the tip!
Also drilled the insert holes in two stages. Wider at the bottom and narrower on top. Hoping it'll make them more resistant to pulling out.

I used some inserts on my foilboard too, may indeed need more soon :)

Guys,

I finally finished the board, and rode it today for the first time. I am surprised at how well it rides. I don't know if it's the fins or flatter tips, it just does not carve as well as a mako, it does not have that grip during carving. Other than that, very nice board, really pleased with it. Should I build another one, it'll be much better. Thank you all for your input and support!

Great looking board!
You'll probably find that with most boards, they excel in one area with compromises in others.
There is no such thing as a one-board-fits-all, which is why it's so great to build your own and experiment.
