The arguments I can’t beat- so I’d have to agree.
The bindings were primarily designed for kiteboarding giving the rider the safety of quick connection and release from the boots with the issue of one boot not releasing solved in this case.
In general all safety systems add to the cost and coplexity of the design ( the modern chicken loop is the example) and very often it takes a legislative push for the industry to comply. But I guess it is a different story...
