Notes on Kiting in Guincho, Just North of Cascais, Lisbon

Postby grahamhill » Tue Sep 08, 2009 2:26 pm

Had a great time in early September this year. Windy enough to kite 6 out of 8 days. Lots of nice waves. Nice people. Beautiful area. Reasonably priced. Easy to get to. Not for beginners though..yu have to be able to get through the waves and there are a number of dangerous rocks that you need to be able to avoid. I made a thorough google map with eating, accommodation, kiting info on it...http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 40255&z=15

Thanks to ssameer and mbigger for the advice prior to coming. Would definitely come back!

Cheers Graham, this info is exactly what I needed, I am hoping to go over in my camper next year, catch the ferry to Santander and drive down from there. I take it early sept could be a good time to go, as it should be cheaper out of school hols and still windy.

Any more info you are wishing to share would be ideal
Thanks
Steve
