Resin8 USA status

Postby spoetnik » Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:03 pm

I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but doe anybody know the status of Resin8 USA?
They seem to have changed their site recently to just a webshop. All boards are 'out of stock' Resin8 out of business, or a change ahead?
I know Ben Wilson Surf uses Resin8 boards for their signature boards.

I hope they still are in business, I believe in light, regular surfboard-like, kitesurfboards like Resin8 and firewire.

Unfortunately the only way to get Resin8 construction now is from BWS. :(

R.I.P. Resin8 :closed:
Resin8 was just a name & a brand.
The magic was in their production technique. :thumb:
The downside of this production magic was the cost & time involved. :worry:
Unfortunately Mr. Wilson and his surfboard customers won't be getting the magic boards Resin8 had produced in the past. With the loss of their Master Glasser it appears they have switched to a more traditional style of board manufacturing. :duh:
I attempted to work with resin8 several years ago after trying some of their boards. :bye:
I still have those boards and they work great. :cool2:
If any one knows where to get one of the 5'8"1/2 Tokoro Fish please let me Know. :hut:

Actually, there are a limited number of the Resin8 surfboards available at Resin8USA.com. We were having a problem with the All Products link from Zen Cart displaying "Out of Stock", so that link has been removed. These boards are now out of production forever, and once the stock is gone, then they are gone for good. Get 'em while they are available!

Having ridden Resin8 surfboards for several years now kiting strapless and strapped, I have yet to find another board that compares in terms of strong lightweight performance.

There are a few left...
gonna let mine cure for a year
shame to see them go to waste . Cutting edge boards are not going to be cheap and there are plenty of folk out here who are willing to pay for that , me included.
Once we can sort out the common problems experienced with all exotic boards then we shall be in Kite Nirvana . It just needs a bit of constructive criticism from the riders and ideas from all involved however basic those thoughts maybe to get there.

More exotic boards Please
