Ozone Race Bar, essential tool for racing.

Postby Hannay » Wed Aug 22, 2012 7:59 am

Hi, Ozone have released the long awaited race bar, an essential tool for racing. The bar lets you depower the kite without losing your body position on the board. You dont have to sheet the bar out, putting weight on your race board, you just pull the depower sheet in taking more weight off the board and leaning into the wind. Try it and you wont go back.

Here is the video with Adams explanations...

you actually got that the wrong way around.

When you sheet in using the long de power line you are 'de powering' the kite. if you need to take more weight off the kite you would let it out slightly.

Hi I wrote taking weight off the board, not the kite. I love this bar and also when riding toeside on a waveboard it helps not to lose your position on the board, instead of sheeting out with the bar you can just sheet in with the depower and get further tucked into the wave.

Cheers Iain

This system is critical for racing.

I use to build my own bars with a similar system,
but I just got my Ozone race bars with my new kites and I'm stoked that I can grab it out of the box and go ride without having to do hours of cutting, measuring and splicing.
