Could this board be semi-competitive with the right fins?

I've picked this board up for some lightwind fun - to razz up and down and practice tacks and gybes, and generally improve on. Its not an issue right now whether its competitive or not, as I have a lot to learn anyway. And my kites are *VERY* unsuitable too, ha!

My question is whether it could be? Its a north race ltd 2011 proto - 190x70, tri fin.
The fins I have with it are a bit mismatched, a 38cm and 2x 34cms.
Do you think this could take 42cm fronts and a 40cm rear, as seems to be the preference right now? or are the strap positions perhaps too inwards to handle such large beasties?

Strap position seems normal. It the position of the fin boxes in relation to them. Perhaps we could get a picture of the underside as well?

The silver rear strap is directly above the bolt which you screw the rear fin in. you can see the fin bolts for the two front fins in the pic (either side of the infinity logo)

The front fins are very close to the edge of the board so it might be a bit hard to handle if you go with very large canted fins. The newer boards have the fins more in board. So maybe get some non canted 40 ish cm fins and try that out.

It is going to handle similarly to modern boards but a lot of stuff have happened over the last two years. Was on a North 69LTD from 2012 and switched to a RRD Rapida and the differences are huge, besides the fact that the RRD is a bomb proof design.
