Hi all,
I'm wondering if my current fins are too small. I have to push the board away from me in order to lift the windward rail up to ride it flat. Is this to be expected? Or a sign that theyre perhaps too small?
I have a 70cm wide board , 38cm back and 36cm fronts. I'm thinking of going for 41cm on the front instead.
Ta!

78Kg riding mainly lightwinds with my 17m turbine. I can get the windward railout of the water easy enough, with some foot pressure, just wondering if that's how its supposed to be, or whether it should be the other way around with the correct fins - the board lifting up and me trying to force it back down instead.

Is it a 3 or 4 fin board?
If you do not get enough lift/upwind try bigger fins, if you cannot bear off efficiently try smaller fins. I guess that rough guide applies to both 3 and 4 fin boards.
36 seems very small if you are 78 kg and use a modern 3 fin board. I am the same weight an 196 cm tall and use mostly 42 cm on front and a 39 rear which makes it balanced to ride.
