They had the Same dismissive shit thrown at them, the difference was they were not throwing it at each other...
Windsurf is staying as two medals but with new equipment
Kite has to be mixed as the class that has now been removed was also a mixed class also it keeps the gender balance the same

Apparently that design is so your board doesn't "go under" the chop . . . . because I guess you are bad at kiteboarding? Hilarious.

Should the non competitive kitesailors
care about this all? Does it impact me?
Will the official sailing body's now help us/fund us to keep kitesail
spots open?

I think that's the question, what commitment will US Sailing make to domestically advance the sport. They're pretty tight with StFYC on the left coast, and there are a couple of kiters up in the Newport, RI area where their headquarters are. What impact will it have on, for example, Miami to know that these "nuisance kiters" are a part of a nationally sponsored Olympic program? Could be good or bad, but either way it's going to be "more serious" in a sense going forward.

For the YOG
Actually any twin tip can be used, that particular one has been very successful in the Asian countries that have held trials/sending athletes
Long water line narrow with flip tips makes sense if your trying to go fast in chop especially if the wind is light

Ah that's interesting. Are you sure it's just not the biggest board from the available list? bigger board = faster. If the flyrace twintip was available I would ride that. It's by far the fastest twintip I've ever ridden and you can almost hydrofoil on the center mast.

that's we all hope for...keeping access and reopen beaches for us. The only thing that would affect normal kiters..and that's positive!
