Guilherme’s performances in championships as well as his reports on national and international kitesurfing websites were good reasons for Mormaii to believe in this young kitesurfing talented athlete.

He has always liked sports with boards, such as skating, surfing, kitesurfing, but today he prefers kitesurfing. Guilherme is inspired by his namesake Guilly Brandão and Kauli Seadi.

When he was just a child he used to go to the beaches in Guarujá and learned how to surf in Neno Matos’ surf school, at Astúrias and Tombo beaches. At the age of 7 he participated in his first surfing competition, in the Grom Search championship.

In 2005, he was introduced to kitesurfing for the first time, when he was in Fortaleza. Soon he fell in love with the sport, because at that same time, the Trujillo family moved to João Pessoa. When he turned 8 years old, he learned how to sail and became the youngest kid to practice kitesurfing in Brazil, until then.

He prefers winds ranging from 12 to 25 knots and waves bigger than 1 meter for kitewave and when the ocean is flat for Freestyle.

Guilherme practices Pilates, to improve his stretching and other sports such as basketball. He intends to participate in some stages of the Brazilian championship of kitesurfing and become an expert on kitewave.
