Hey so I am a newbie in Portland Oregon. I took some lessons in the summer and have been looking for deals on kites now that it is the off season. I'm not a very big guy, just about 150 lbs and 5' 10". About how big of a kite should I be getting for myself? Any help here would be awesome.

check out windance boardshop in hood river, most of the shops and schools are there, good product, pricing and everyone that works there knows their stuff and is super friendly
http://www.windance.com/
the area is pretty windy, and if you are new at 150lbs go 8 or 10m max

Your local shop in P-town would be Gorge Performance.
and your kite shops in Hood River would be 2-wind, Windance, and Bigwinds.
Also the local kite forum for the area would be nwkite.com
