Known for almost year round winds, kiteboarding mecca Cabarete, Dominican Republic
will host the 4th annual Kiteboarding 4 Kids (KB4K) charity event August 16th – 18th.
This fundraising kiteboarding competition, organized by Laurel Eastman Kiteboarding
(LEK) and friends, benefits underprivileged children of Dominican Republic.
Kiteboarders of all levels are invited to enter the “fun and relaxed” competition. There
will be several categories including men, women, and junior for those 14 and younger.
Each rider will have the opportunity to give back on their personalized profile page where
they can set and track their fundraising goals.
Spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy multiple activities and games during the
competition. The after party is sponsored by the local bars and restaurants of Cabarete
Beach, where there will be an array of entertainment, raffles and auctions.
Last year, the event brought in a whopping US$25,000 from competitors and sponsors.
