It's that time of year again - the chance to party, ride, and play alongside the MACkite Crew and our kiteboarding Reps and Team Riders. For anyone that is curious about the sport, the Spectator option is a great way to get in touch with local kiteboarders and MACkite instructors. Enjoy learning about gear, being able to test out trainer kites, and spend some days out in the sun. If you feel like putting on your stunna shades and drinking the Kool-Aid, being a Party-Goer is the ticket. The Party-Goer ticket gets you into all of the exclusive dinners and parties at the MACkite Board Sports Center on Hayes Street. For those looking to ride the latest and greatest gear while also getting the benefits of the parties and clinics, the Rider ticket is a great opportunity.

Where is KOGL hosted? The beach, of course! Where else are you going to ride? King of the Great Lakes hosts their daily events at Grand Haven City Beach. Evening events are held at MACkite Board Sports Center on Hayes Street (see directions below).

What should I bring? For spectators, it's a good idea to bring water, a snack, and the willingness to learn about a new sport. If you plan on using the trainer kite testing area, then we suggest wearing comfortable beach clothing. Party-Goers, the same goes to you! For Riders, you might want to bring a wetsuit.

What if there's no wind? That's okay! We have clinics going all day long, parties at night, and we have a slew of non-wind events to everyone to enjoy.

The MACkite Crew loves hosting King of the Great Lakes, and we really appreciate the support of our brands and attendees. Let's make 2017 KOGL the best one yet!

Toby, is personal equipment allowed, or is the the area reserved for testers only?

I don't know!
But I never heard of a demo where one could not fly his own gear...

A few years ago the forecast was for light winds all weekend, and the various kite company reps brought only light wind kites and boards. And indeed it was light on the Saturday, and I enjoyed riding the Solo when it first came out, and a race board, and saw my first foiling. But the Sunday was howling NW so we used our own gear, indeed, the reps bailed on the beach. Good fun all around.
