World's biggest Testival - St Peter-Ording, Germany, August 15-19

During the stop of the German Multivan Kitesurf Masters St. Peter-Ording you will find many brands available for testing.

Next to freestyle and racing a Big Air Show event has been planned.

Here a list of all participating brands:

What a great event!

Tons of brands and testing...1500 people signed up for testing!

Guys like Pete Cabrinha, Armin Harich from Flysurfer and Bernd Hiss from Core were also around and up for a chat.

Good to have a big demo event back at SPO...and should be even bigger next year.

Also nice action on the water, Freestyle, hydrofoil and twintip racing and Big Air!

Great event, definitely worth a visit next year!

The testing opportunities were awesome. So many brands, so much stuff. Totally worth it.

Still I am wondering why the organizers and brands left out so much potential and in parts the planning was ridiculously flawed.

For example:
The race track for the slalom was right in front of ( aka "in") the gear testing area. Many times testers and racers got into conflict. To those who don't know the location - it is endless. There is no shortage of space in any regard.

The unprofessional attitude at the testing stations confused me and it was sad to see so many chances to win new customers not being taken.

The homepage and general internet related wash up was horrendous. It is 2018 and such an important (and easy and cost effective) channel is neglected. That surprised me.

Fortunately I was in a position that allowed me to mostly overcome those shortcomings. Still, I hope they will improve next year.

I think everybody was a bit overwhelmed be the sheer mass of people who wanted to test. On Saturday the organizer begged over the PA that people who finished testing to bring back their tokens (you would get one for a board, one for a kite). They issued around 1.300 tokens in total.

Really? On land I never had the impression that more than expected were there. On the water, however, it was madness. Which was also due to artificial limitations of the test area. They claimed to have checked kite licenses, but on the water people were riding dangerously and idiotic like they had never ridden with other people before..

On land, only a few times (e.g. when staff was out with the kites...) did I have to wait for the gear I wanted to test.
Then again on more than one occasion I was surprised to learn that brands will not bring their full line up, but rather a pretty narrowed down selection. This seemed to be especially true for boards and sizes.

Still, I got to check out a lot of stuff and would have enjoyed an even more professional and up to date organization of the testing process.
