Greetings
I'm new to Kiteboarding and looking for some advice on equipment. I'm 28, 6'3 220 lbs. I have limited water sports experience but I've been snowboarding for a long time. The package I have the opportunity in purchasing is below.
Kite: Liquid force 12 Envy
Board : Overdrive 148 Liquid Force
Harness, bindings, control bar, bag, etc.
Price: $1000
Is this a good package for someone my size? I'll be mostly boarding in the north east (rhode island and boston areas)
Thanks!
Andrew

The board size is great to start with but once you progress you should upgrade to a smaller board. The big board will start to feel slow and heavy. But you could keep it as a light wind board. I dont know about your local windspeeds but the package looks great, especially for that price!
Happy progression!

Where did you take lessons? They typically know the area the best and can advise you for local wind speeds, and your experience + weight.

I haven't taken a lesson yet. I'll be boarding in the Narragansett RI, South Boston areas. I decided I wanted to get into the sport and came across this package. Thanks for the advice!
