I am riding a 12 Rebel from 2008 and it is time to change my gear. I would like to go more in the air style direction and not sure which kites would fit me and my style best. My weight is 76 kg and after reading all your posts and tips regarding air style my favorites are the following:
Ozone Edge
Naish Draft
Flysurfer Speed 4 Lotus
So what do you think about these wings? Which one would you prefer and why? Or would you go with a different kite?
Thank you and hopefully somebody can help!
Klaus
Out of these 3, the speed has more hangtime. If you are novice in board offs, the extra hangtime will make you progress faster on the speed imo. Once you progress the speeds hangtime will stay an advantage, but slower turning speed might slow your progress.

To a certain turning speed it will progress you.
Too fast and too slow both will stop your progress.

Hi Toby,
you always say that for Airstyle the kite should be super slow so why could too slow stop my progress? By the way what does too slow mean? Could a flysurfer speed 4 lostus be too slow? From which size?
Thank for clarifying this issue!!

Toby will confirm, but it's the low level water tricks, Jesus walks, darkslides etc where you want to loop the kite (well you don't have to always on the bigger kites) that a kite that is too slow may limit your progress. Other than that slow is good...which is antithesis to what most others want..lighter (less struts) and faster...

For me a kite has to sit above me, even when I pull a bit on the bar.
But it needs to mobe once I need it to.
I need it when I do Jesus Walks and also have it forward when I want to land.
While eg a foil in 19 or 21 sqm sits perfect on top, it lacks some turning speed for such kiteloops when Jesus Walking.
A foil with 15 sqm will turn quicker and is great for all Airstyle tricks.
Never tried Chrono so don't know how fast they turn.
You also want good bar feedback, not too light pressure, only his way you can dose the right power for slide and Jesus walks, plus feel when the kite moves forward too early.
But I guess everyone is different in what they need. I for sure know exactly what works perfect for me...those kites make me progress.
