Toby's grab rails

Postby Henrik78 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 7:49 pm

Toby, I notice in your BD that you only have grabrails on the right side of your board (both toe and heelside). Why not on the left side? And why not a sidegrab on the heelside?

When will you start selling your grabs? Will the differ much from flysurfers grabs?

Last; I really appreciate your riding, keep riding strong!!!

Mine are from Flysurfer.

I mainly need the ones on heel side.

A center heel side I don't need.

And the center one should be a bit higher...would be easier to grab for me, since original FS one does not have a perfect grip, I miss many tricks with this.

I glued another 1.5cm strip onto the FS indie grab rail, works pretty good.

I use his ones custom made from EPDM.
2,2 cm high and fitted to the Radical 3Ss rail.
I also use 4 Flysurfer fin grab rails, 1 in every corner.

But I use 3M special tape to fix all of them to the board, because the tape they come with doesnt really hold them in place for long.

Maybe something we should try to produce with Leocustoms in the future.

We would need to raise funds first, as the minimum order quantity of EPDM is 400 Euros = 1 sqm) + shipping, so if we can get 20 people to order 2 Grabrails for 50 Euros total (flat or custommade), we can start making them.

But we can only do the straight rails for now, for the others (fin grab rails/rounded corners) we would need a CC-cutter.

he doesn't do tricks in whatever the weakest direction is for that particular trick. most people will want rails both left & right
