I had my last session in Germany these days and we filmed a bit, including a short interview about the Airstyle Hangout in Ras Sudr and the future of Airstyle.
Really good interview and I have come to appreciate what airstyle is all about. There is no denying that it is a crowd pleaser and I hope that this turns out to be a very successful event. The diversity in this sport is amazing and I can see how this discipline could definitely increase the amount of spectators to any event. Just with that in mind can only mean better coverage and a growing fan base for this sport. The general public will gather to watch someone kite but they stay when they are being entertained....airstyle is very entertaining to watch for Joe Public.

I really do like that you are marketing this discipline to the average kiter regardless of age. Very smart and it does inspire the middle age guy to just get out there and be a hero on the beach....and the ladies like it
Yes all true about the spectacle. True regarding impact on body.
But honestly, I ride with 4 other guys generally with not a soul at the spot we do our 'airstyle' work. So we are not out to impress anybody. One of us is still in his mid twenties...
We just really enjoy going big, trying to get that feeling of flying and throw in the board offs and rotations, darkslides, Jesus walks ect.
It's just a really good time, lots of laughs and a beer or two afterwards as the sun sets.
So it's a style we choose becuase it's a style we like.
Some unhooking, some looping, but ultimately it's the mode of kiting we get the most enjoyment out of, with no intention of pleasing crowds. It's the roots of kiting and why way back then I took it up in the first place.
