Hi Westozzy.
How does the 18m Rebel compare with your experience on the 2013 Zephyr with regards to boost and float characteristics?

Flew the Rebel 18 today with 32m lines, inner bar connection and slow setup on kite.
Perfect turning speed now to not crash the rotating stuff that needs a perfect stable kite.

This made me land very cool new tricks today, like Front 720 King Deadman Board Flip !

No comparison really. Zephyr is a relatively quick, fun freeride kite, more like the juice really. Can wang you up there when really powered the zephyr and the float is fine...it's actually a good starting point for an airstyle kite, both my bro and I both enjoyed them. bar pressure gets insane though in the winds you really want to hold it down for some serious hang. But it's a lovely wing, really really good kite hey. Zephyrs not bad in the ocean to, the big rebel is a bit naff in the ocean, really likes flat water.

Rebel's much slower, still gets you up there though, but the hangtime is like double that of the zephyr. It is far more specialised. But don't let that put you off the zephyr it s a great starting point for this discipline but will only take you so far...

Christ how slow do you want the thing!!

Now you are just plain showing off!! :D ..be good to get that on video, that's an especially dangerous move if you f*** that up...although I'm sure the judges would rate the one dimensional powered loop more much higher, cause you have to jump really powered, then pull hard on the bar on one side and...well that's it really...what was I saying?

Thanks for feedback on Zep vs Rebel.

Are you using 5m extensions or fixed length 32m lines?
