my 2014 ion b2's buckles wore out quick because im heavy and didnt tighten the legstraps. the 2015 is holding strong but have been using the straps from the start. to not destroy the nuts, i only put on half my wetsuit, then adjust myself and tighten the legstraps, then finish zipping up.

I tried a number of seat harnesses and the only one that I would ever even consider is the Mystic Force Shield ...see

I have used an older version of the mystic seat harness for the last couple of years. Over 200 sessions and still in good shape. I find it pretty comfortable. No problems with the leg straps. Don't have any reference point as far as a low hook point or not compared to other seat harnesses.

Does a low hook make it harder or easier for board offs?

Yes, the hook sits pretty low. Ultimately, that's why I shifted away from it and moved to a Worrier. I like the support that a seat harness offers but i've grown accustom to the mobility of the waist harness. Very strange but I dont even mind if it fits a little loose, in fact, I should wear a medium but found a large to offer a bit more back support.

Dakine Nitrous; 2-3 yrs old, stitched in a large chunk of sail tape where short/harness started to shred, very pleased, very comfortable. NOTE: haven't adjusted leg straps/spreader bar in a long time/spreader bar just loose enuf to slide on over 3mm neoprene shorts and works great ( even when spreader bar releases waist buckle on shorts - 30% of sessions); shows signs of wear, like me...

Hi Everyone,
Due to back pain I will switch to seat harness. Do you guys have any update on good seat harness with a relatively high hook.
It looks like most of them are not very durable. I saw a old Mystic Star kite Waist seat harness.
Anybody tried it? Any other suggestion?
