This IS a wakestyle bar!
I just added the Microloop and hook and 27m lines to it.
The original comes with 22m and a bigger c-loop.
500+ Euro...

To modify any other bar than the North bars from 2009-2012 you need:
1. drill two holes into the bar (should be solid metal in the center)
From above the hole needs to be thicker than from below, so a plastic part from the loop sinks in fully, but also locks below from being pulled out
2. North Iron Heart Quick Release from 2009-2012 to be able to add the hook.
Or have your own hook made from a metal worker and attach it somehow above your QR.
3. The North Microloop Upgrade Kit.
Buy it on

Hi!
It's so frustrating that north and flysurfer are not able or not willingly to suport Airstyle with proper bar concepts. What is wrong with the product managers. The micro hook is so much more comfortable than using stopper balls. And it is faster plus safer!
@Toby:
Is the small wake style bar coming with the holes for the hook or did you drill them in?
Do you fly your smaller kites using extra long lines to?
I realy want to rplace my flysurfer QR and Bar with north parts to get the hook for my boost 18. Unfortuanatly I sold my old 2012 North Bar last year - what a mistake!!!

I had them drilled. 20 Euro.
I asked to North to make 100 bars...they have tons of wakestyle bars in stock.
Was too expensive to drill the holes...
Just sad that they don't support Airstyle.
The Microloop makes the difference of highest performance or just basic.
I don't fly small kites. But, made an old 14 ready...will try it with the short bar an the 27m lines.

Hi Toby.
I had your 14 in mind while asking for "small kites".
Is the QR still the same at the newer north bars, or do I need an old one to mount the hook plate on?
If anybody of the north guys is reading this, please build a good oldschool bar. Or at least, start reproducing the 2012 QR and bar with microhook again. No further costs for engineering, just redo what you were able to do some years ago...

No, you need an iron heart from 2009 to 2012 to fit the hook.
Drilling holes is the least problem, but adding the hook is.
But normally the old iron hearts still work, and the current chicken loop replacements can be exchanged.

ok, took my 2010 Rebel 14.0 out with that bar.
Works well, slows the kite down a lot...good setup if I have to go out in stronger winds one day...

I guess there's not enough demand for it? Not enough people requesting them.
Or it could be considered unsafe?
Why not design, manufacture and sell your own bar Toby?
