My 2011 north dyno 13m and 16m kites just died. I am 75 kg, like to ride 128cm board, and strictly airstyle tricks. Normally my kite spot in san andres colombia has wind from 12 to 20 kts. I have used my 13m about 85% of the time, the 16m the rest of the time. Rarely ever use my 10m dyno.
So I am looking for the biggest/best airstyle kite that I can hold down at 22-24 kts max.
I have found with my 13m at about 23kts or so I am at my upper limit. I find that the dynos don't seem to have as much upper end depower as my old cabrinha switchblades. I have been looking at the flysurfer boosts and north rebels
. According to flysurder the wind range for the boost 13m is 10-28kts and the 15m is 9-26kts. If this is accurate then the 15m would be perfect for me.
North says for rebels the 14m range is 9-20kts and for 16m is 8-18kts. If this is accurate then either would be over powered for what I am looking for.
Toby has always recommended the 2015 north 18m but I think I would be over powered too much of the time.
Kites are so expensive that I really need to buy one kite for 90% of sessions, and keep my 10m for the rare higher wind days.
So.......what are your thoughts? Are wind ranges for north rebels and boosts accurate?
Any feed back and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Dyno 2011 16 is more powerful than the Rebel 2015 18 !!!
But hard to suggest you anything, since I don't test many kites.
Good luck with finding a good replacement. And keep us informed what you went for and how you compare it to your old gear.

Yeah, those dynos have a lot of power. It makes it hard to figure what size in other brands to compare to.
Did you ever get a chance to fly one of the boosts? I am wondering about bar feel when over head. Important to have good feed back about what is going on when you are trying to keep kite at telve and overhead.
Have you had a chance to try the new 16m rebel? Wonder hiw it compares?

The adviced windranges for North rebels, are not for airstylers. For oldschool you will use them above. How far is up to you.
Don't know for Boost.

I tried the Rebel 16 16. The hang time is very good...wasn't that happy with the lift.
Maybe someone with other experience?
