Hey guys,
A question about the backroll. I came back two weeks ago from Dakhla where I was practicing backroll, or what I thought were backrolls. I was practicing steering the kite onto 12 whilst edging, and then using my head and shoulder to rotate. Worked well, though I from what I've interpreted in Toby's video, a backroll need not be that complicated. Is it a matter then of just gaining speed and keeping the kite in one position whilst gaining air without edging? Thanks!

Correct, keeping the kite flying forward and then doing a rotation with your feed kinda above your head is a real Backroll.
If you send the kite to jump and then rotate with feed below your head it is a Back Rotation or a Back 360
