No tips for cable other than to just edge hard and stand tall. If you bend at the waist/in your legs too much you won't get enough leverage on the line. Take the corner, level off, then set your edge and flick. Don't hesitate and you'll be fine, just stay confident.

Oh, and if you're riding on a cable where the direction forces you to do tricks to the inside (I think that's your question), try raleys right off the start dock (edge super hard immediately and flick right after you pass under the cable). It's a bit scarier since it's such an aggressive edge but you'll get plenty of lift/time to get your feet back under you.

An actual kiteboard will make it much easier to go upwind than riding a wakeboard. I know experienced kiters that ride wakeboards & can go upwind but as a beginner it's gonna be a lot harder on a wakeboard.
