Help with Vegas sizes

Postby jonatanlundmark » Thu Jun 23, 2016 3:00 pm

Hi!

I'm in the process of buying new kites, currently on Nirvana 9 and 13, 80kgs and boots. Gonna keep my 9 since its still in very good shape but need something bigger for freestyle/wakestyle. Thinking 12+14,5 Vegas would do it or would someone rather recommend other sizes? to big of a gap with 11+14,5? Often ride "low-wind" and want something to fill upp well down to the 9 which I mostly use for looping in stronger winds.

I would go for 11/14.5, the 14.5 will only give so much more low-end compared to the 11/12 so better to have the 11, nicer overlap between the 9 and 14.5

What low end are we talking with the 14.5? I have a 12 and I must have more low end.

After many buts and whys I went for 11 and 13 with wake style bar, first session I got to try both, overlapped nicely. Why I chosen a kinda narrow setup is mostly because i find rinding a kite with much depower looses a lot of handling/pop/fun when unhooking. I'm really happy with my choice. 1 month after the arrival of my new kites I slammed my Liquid Force DLX and delaminated it, resulting in a Gambler 2017 and a empty kite-account, almost. (Also bought a cheap Fuel for those loop days)

Only minus is the line running along the centreline through the bar, a lot of wear both on the line and on fingers...

So after riding another brand for years and years I'm now very happy to have changed.

I would really like to try the 14.5........it's a damn shame north doesn't send it out with the demo guys. My guess is that it's a slow pos ....and that's why.
