Thanks for the question gave me the idea to weigh mine. :thumb:
Both of these have Factory made ultra stiff, high mod carbon plate (hand shaped) that is 1.1cm thick fot the strut and fuse, dense as hell but also heavy!
My high wind and wave ( if you can call Med swell waves?) T bar with lower A R wings is 3.8K, 8.4 lbs.
The other more for light wind and speed T bar and higher A R wings 3.3k, 7.3 lbs.
I would say that when flying that the weight is not so noticeable but when you carry it sometimes I sure wish it was lighter!
And as said much better heavier and strong VS lighter and fragile!
But I must say that when I get the chance to fly factory made light AND strong KBHFs it is a pleasure for sure!!! :D

Hi revhed, Thanks for your reply.
So by the sounds of it a foil around the 3+/- kg is about the norm.
I was looking at Moth foil construction methods and was surprised the a tried a tested method, of basically gluing two carbon moulded skins together, with an oak or carbon stringer running through the the middle.

This is obviously strong enough and i would imagine light as well. ive sort of gone down this route as well. im just sanding back internally to make them fit nicely before bonding. so weight will be in the 3kg + area.

Thanks for you inpute

Cheers :thumb: :thumb:
