also you should use peel ply. Its a nylon cloth or linen that is the first befor breather cloth.

well i avoided the use of peel ply to retain as much resin as posible.
it was achieved but i guess vaccum was to much with the flexible bag
will do a do over on the weekend!
thanks,
pedro

?
on top:
I can see there was no peel ply on the top surface
additionally there was no breather on top, so no need for peel ply.
on the bottom:
between the glass plate and the wing, breather is visible.
peel ply or perforated film would be needed here, if only to keep the breather from getting bonded to the laminate.
was there no laminate on the bottom side of the wing?
if more layers of cloth or other surface treatment is anticipated the peel ply leaves a rough surface to help with future bonding.
perforated film is a better choice if you are looking for a final cosmetic surface.
unperforated film is a option if you are worried about too much vacuum leaving you with a 'dry' lam.
it may take a fair amount of trial and error to smooth out any appearance of the weave on your laminate. you can cover a lot more ground by doing small test pieces w/o making a mess of important parts.
if sanding becomes the inevitable fix, then the peel ply may make it easier to apply a sanding coat (hot coat) of uniform thickness
if the amount of vacuum is a parameter you want to explore, a small reservoir tank with an adjustable vacuum switch is an easy upgrade.
I'm glad to see that you are weighing components before and after.
50/50 is a good resin/cloth ratio to target with vacuum bags.
its possible the wood has absorbed some resin that you attributed to the laminate
so the results may be better than you think.
no worries,
-bill

hello Bill,
all done like you said.
next time ill use the glass veil you suggested and use a thicker plastic for bagging.
i will finish this wing first than make a mold out of it that way ill practice and replicate and improve the process.
this is very time consuming and im begging to hate sanding the carbón.
Nasty stuff.
ive acquired a full face mask as an incentive to keep sanding.
cant help to think..... Luke im your father!!!!!
