for me If you want to stay with Naish, a trip 12m with 30m lines is the best.
I find that the other kites are too heavy for 7-8 knots , they have a tendancy to fall
in the water in lulls.

Agree with Pierre, those two kites dont work well in this wind, some has tried, also with Park or Torches, but not with good results - too heavy as said.

Either a lighter 14m2 kite (or the 15 Fly), or a smaller kite - both will stay up and work better :thumb:

Some can get a 12 to work, others find it too heavy too - so around here most find a 12m2 "normal weight" LEI just on the limit from okay to not good, in the corresponding wind that it works
And of course with longer lines.

I will say, that the default line length for TT, Freeride, Waveboard are around 20-23m.

But for hydrofoiling, default overall length now seems to be 25-28m (around here, dont know in other parts), and maybe longer for marginal winds or shorter for smaller kites and waves.

8) PF

PS: You can not relaunch any of these kites in this wind anyways, just so you know....

that's the one I have, with a big front wing I can foil in very marginal wind with it, I Am 80kg and I have an alpinefoil with xlp wing for light wind.
I do not believe I need a bigger kite yet, maybe a bigger ram air kite like the chrono 15 one day,
But I don't feel the need yet, I love the simplicity of the trip.

The trip 12 is as powerfull as a 13 or 14, but does not have a good high end.
Relaunch is good if you let it take the wind in the center of the window, at least much
better than the draft.

Just use longer lines with it, you will be amazed by its low end capabilities, strutless kite are the only alternative to ram air kites on foils today.

Has anyone tried Naish Ride with a KBHF?

I was wondering if it has less tendency to fall from the sky with its 2-strut construction.

I have the ride in 8 too, it is much better than a park for foiling, more traction in the bar,
more stable, stay better in the air and very easy to relaunch with at least some wind.
The ride has less low end and better high end than the trip.
I started foiling last summer with a quiver of park, I have been quickly tired of heavy kites,
even if the park has 3 struts. I also find that kites that have traction on the bar are easier
for foiling.

Now for pure low end, going in marginal winds of 7-8 knots, the trip is unbeatable,
it can stay in the air with lulls of 3-4 knots and is very powerful, I recommend it at least for the biggest kite but the ride is very good too.

I started with a trip10, ride 8 combo for my foil, then I bought a trip in 12 to get a little more low end. Maybe I will change my trip 10 for a ride 10 to have a more consistent quiver when I am not foiling.

for me it stays confortable until 12 knots after I prefer to change if I can.

The Kite turns very well , it is very light in the sky, I like to air jibe with it.
The good think is that it is tolerant to errors with long lines, because of the light construction.

Relaunch is good but requires a specific technic for strutless kites, you let it drift downwind, let the kite take the wind to remove the water from the bladder, then you pull hard on a backward line, when it starts to takes off you release immediately the backward line and pull hard on the front lines.
It is not relaunching on the edge of the window like usual 3 struts kites.

If I compare with my park, with some technic it relaunches way better in light wind.
