Tried many various foils and only one gave me real fun in waves.
Moses Silente - very low AR, delta shape front and back wing, short fuselage - the fundamentals of wave riding with foils in my mind

I do not want to touch any high AR foil going to waves. Medium? Somehow feel not right about it either.
Low AR turns faster, requires less speed to go and is slower than any medium or high AR.
Slow speed in waves is a crucial factor in my mind.
The slower foil than it should be better foil for waves - especially riding down the face as you can stay on the same wave instead overtaking it being full powered.

Short strut? Never tried shorter than 90cm so cannot say anything.

BTW. What is a point to have 3 straps riding waves?
The front foot positioned at the center line gives better control riding normal or switched position.
Obviously strapless is the best way to go but if someone needs straps I would recommend just two.

Last thing from my personal set up - I feel more comfortable and somehow right on a classic wave board than a short boards foiling waves.

e. When can I order the shorter green board? I need a smaller strapless option to my strapped pocket board.
Hi

We have a small qty produced at the factory and we are organizing the shipment. We will have them in stock in 3 weeks.
The board is supplied without pads, you ride it using Wax. (no inserts for straps)

The weight is approx 2.7Kg

I have similar thoughts Nicolas.

When I ride Zeeko freeride or race front foil, the ventilation seems to be little problem,
as it is easy to recover without much effort. Rider comfort is very good then.
I wonder if a bit (2-3 degrees)of front foil dihedral will do better,
as the resultant left and right wing forces will cross in the CoG of the rider
(providing that ventilation is still little problem).
I would expect additionall increase of rider comfort and confidence, allowing more risky/extreeme manouvers.

BTW, will your flat front foil with no anhedral from alu version fit to carbon mast/fuse?

Hi,
Ventilation is mostly due to very small holes on the leading edge of the mast (check the leading edge of the mast with your hands, sometimes we hit something in the water even no a big crash, and it makes a path on the mast, even if this is as small as a very small head needle) or sanding mast with a 1500g sand paper is a must.
All riders who start to be fast do it (of course this is available only on carbon foils!!!

About the dihedral anhedral, I felt that for very high speed target, less anhedral is interesting, this is why the speed wing is designed with less anhedral. Faster you are and more locked is the yaw. But if a wing already lock the yaw, sometimes it starts to be a disavantage at high speed as you can't control the foil and you feel that the foil starts to drive you (is this clear?)

Sorry, Nicolas
it looks we misunderstood each other.
I had in mind front foil ventilation. It happens to me quite often during waveriding, but thanks to nice profile and enough amount of FF twist (I presume), it is easy to recover without falling. I still shake a bit , and my suggestion re FF small dihedral was directed to eliminate even this small shake to enhance rider comfort.
Mast ventilation happened after 2 weeks of riding, and good remedy was simple soap bath, to eliminate any oils from mast surface.

On that same line of thinking. Has anyone seen a foil with the front wing taking its cue from something like this?
AU-1_Corsair_in_flight_1952.jpg
I have seen lots of bent wings, but the gull wing on the Corsair would be a way to get the stability from the dihedral without raising the tips any more than a flat wing.

Interesting concept of vent reduction in spite of that its inverted seegull

Probably I saw Corsair-like foil somwhere .
Maybe Radicall :?: :!:

I think inverted might benefit the elevated balance point of a KBHF better than upright gull wing where the mass is at the fuse. Long section of wing is dihedral.... so much more stable than anhedral.

Ketos has done freeride wing in a bit simmilar manner, but without enough tip dihedral.
Interesting, if it works as good, as we expect it to do.
