I have no idea what he used, but sounds like Joey Pasquale killed it. 12 straight bullets! Yeah, thats pretty dominant.

I personally saw Nico's "white shark" and I was told Joey went back to the "2" by reliable sources.

to be honest, it is the rider more than anything else.
I have a friend with the 3 which I haven't tried yet but he thinks the 3 is a little bit more skatey compared to the 2.
Both foils are excellent but I don't think there is much difference....
