So do you think the Naish Foil is good for starting up and worth the money?

How much are they?

I've ridden it for about a dozen hours, with the 160 board. It's fine for a freeride set up IMO...it's "fun".

Don't like the 160 board now, but I think you'd need it for learning and lighter wind.

How heavy is Hover 130 board? To me that is the only item from Naish foil assembly that is interesting

Its same hydrofoil that Liquid Force uses with name Rocket Foil. The board is not the same.
Tried it one year ago and i would categorize it as manouver oriented hydrofoil.Wery slow but nice and safe for learning.

I've owner the Liquid Force Foil Fish - foil was fine (same foil as this Naish foil), but the board was terrible. The lack of rocker on the front was not beginner friendly at all!
I tried this Naish setup at the beginning of the summer this year - large board, so probably the 160. The board was very easy to ride and I believe it to be a very good beginner setup. The rocker on the board makes a huge difference. I would recommend this for beginners who aren't ready to drop big $s for a more advanced setup.

I thought the Naish board was on a par with the LF board, regarding its tendency to go submarining.... its (Naish) downside being that it's weaker regarding bottom strikes :(

I noticed the extra "swing weight" of the Naish board too.

Such a pity that a big brand like Naish goes into this new type of kiteboarding with such a basic product!
And very careful too by just buying the same proven product from the supplier of Liquid Force.

The review is by one of the best kiteboarders and kitefoilers we have in the Netherlands.
However, it is quite low on content and footage :(
Also this LF equality issue should have been addressed.

Yes,
not very impressive, but maybe also Mr. Naish is not so happy with this style of business using his name.

Apart from the elongated fuselage,

the 2017 Naish Foil seems to be 100 % the same design done by engineers of http://studio63.ca/videos/
in 2014 ! for Liquid Force (LF) and sold first time end of 2014 (we had been one of first consumers).

The only innovation seems to be,
to sell a since 2 years out-of-date product, of designers with potentially very low foiling experience (of maybe one year),
for a price (1100 € !) much higher than state of the art foils of designers with more than 10 years of experience like zeeko/thekitefoil (around 850 €) for example.

Will see of taking customers for stupid will work. :-?

But maybe great for real fans of naish kitebording, if you today want to know about the next naish innovations for 2018, just check what studio63 has done in 2015 for LF.

Flew it, P O S just like the funny foil!
Does it work, yes, will you get tired of such a "draggy hydrofoil" most will.
Do your research and buy something with years of R and D behind it, Test fly as many as possible, or design and build to your liking.

I have the 160cm. Its my first foil so I don't have anything to compare it to but I seem to be progressing fast on it. It wasn't expensive and the parts seem to be interchangeable with other companies. the board is big enough that I'm not pearling when i slam back down to the surface. I think its fine for me to at least get out in light wind and find out if I want to pursue foiling with out breaking my bank. And if I out grow it when I sell it I don't think Ill lose too much dough !
