Thank you. I get that the fuses are completely different. More the mention of different angles that I still am not quite understanding. I see the one pictured above is mounted to an old plate, and that the newest production ones are mounted a bit further forward on a black version of the newest plate. Are the production spitfire plates actually wedge shaped?

I guess what I'm asking is: Is the strut mounted at an angle to the plate that is not completely square? Or is the strut to fuse junction not completely square or both? Either way, it must be subtle. It's tough to pic up on in photos or Zeeko's promo material. It would seem crazy to me that both foils would not use the same strut. Those are cut square at both ends. Any angle change would have to be due to angles produced by either plate or fuse mounting surface.

I sense that 3 inlets is maybe a little put off by these reverse engineering questions. Please do not be guarded. This is a polished product released to the market. Any commercial outfit wanting to reverse engineer one will simply buy it and go from there, and very few people are going to DIY themselves a spitfire. Zeeko have a big jump on the market with this progression. Sharing info is simply to help advance the understanding of the concept and speaks to the best this forum has to offer. Beats all the usual bragging and bitching!

I am already a Zeeko customer and have nothing but great respect for how far ahead of the pack they are.

Sorry for the confusion. I have it mounted on the old mast as I am using the Spitfire mast for SUP.

There is some angle that points the nose of the foil down a bit in the plate.

It also has a lip that makes a stronger connection to the Mast.

Loving it :-)

I don't think I will SUP without a Foil anymore. It's no much easier and less stress than a normal SUP.

So is that wedge an adaptation geared specifically to wave riding? With the foil riding down slope, a bit of wedge at the plate helps keep a more level board attitude?

I believe the wedge thing is to keep the attitude of the board when riding the same as normal.
There must be a difference in AoA during use of the Spitfire

Hi Gunnar so you're using a 90CM mast for SUP foiling? Which foil and sup are you using ?

I usually use a 70cm one, but I had to sell it over Christmas to a guy who had to have it, so I have been on the 90cm Spitfire Mast until I managed to get another 70cm one.

I have been using a Prototype Zeeko Wing setup. Its got an 900cm2 front wing.

Spitfire plate pitches board up, not down. Probably around 3 degree angle. It also shifts the mast forward comparing to 2016 W&B (on which plate was at right angle to the mast).

That is what I said. I said it pitches the nose of the Foil down, which means the nose of the board gets pitched up.
