Going between many foils makes a better foiler....anyone can adapt to a single foil .....but if you cast a broad net you will have the ability to see the landscape and actually see differences between models....I would say the spit is an advanced setup.
it's just because there is a slightly longer phase of unlearning your typical foil habits, that it's prob best to stick to it for a couple of sessions until you figure out the right foot position and balance. Once at that stage, it's super easy to switch back and forth to other foils and it will just take a tack or two to find your marks again.
I don't think it is really an advanced setup, but I agree that it is quite sensitive to foot placements, with essentially one spot where it works beautifully and everywhere else feeling a bit weird and unbalanced. So, unlike the heavy lifter entry level foils where you can (and need!) to be in front of the mast, and can tolerate approximate foot placement, the spitfire requires some more balancing around the mast, and fine footstraps tuning. Maybe this is what makes it not beginner friendly in your opinion? Otherwise, the fact that it isn't too sharp, and that it doesn't jump up in the air to kill you whenever you fall are some pretty interesting characteristics for a beginner.
Yup. Good points. Rode it again today. Seems like you sacrifice the comfy stable ride for the phenomenal downwind turning....which seems to be its signature.
Looks sweet! Where is it made? There some good factories in China and some shit ones. I won't buy another foil, until I know which factory made it. Yes, I know. I'm weird about stuff like that.

Yes and it keeps on growing on you.
Although after ventilating the wings on my Std wing Spitfire during a toeside carve on weekend maybe I have to upgrade to the XLW with AVS.
A new range of board will be available soon,
The spitfire is an awesome tool for surfoiling/supfoiling/ktiefoiling/wakefoiling
here is an example of the surfoiling aspect of this foil
