Frank, no did not. Please remember I'm a beginner, and I can't make any distinctions anyway.
I think that my feedback is valid for a beginner. Meaning, the 548 is perfectly fine to learn on, as is the 550, but you won't notice the difference as a beginner.

I actually wrote to Moses asking if they are bringing out new light wind focused front wing or wings like Levitaz . No reply as of yet from Moses.
Levitaz has now two very big front wings which based on tests are working exceptionally well; they give you very low foiling start-up speed but surprisingly have quite high top speed. I have Fluente with 550, but seriously miss a front wing for low take off speeds in very light winds where today's strutless kites will work well. I don't want a foil kite due to our launch places and foil kites being slow turning, been there done it.

Omg,
I'd probably buy a bigger front wing right now, but I'll probably progress from now pretty fast to where I'm not so interested. Where I kite, winds at 10 knots are not consistent during the session, often lulling to 6. We don't have low wind thermals. Our light winds get good at 12 knots, then lulls are 8 and gust is 14-16.

TomW, I'm just a couple of hundred kms fom you to east and summer thermals and otherwise steady low winds are there for these kind of wings. Also for lulls these wings would do really well. I have been suprprised by how foiling works so much better in gusty inland lakes than surfboard due to low friction; with foil you just plane out the lulls which would be session killers for surfboard rider.
Especially in light winds, for carving and turning it would be nice to have a wing which can stay up foiling when the speed slows down a bit, especially the LEI kite power is very sensitive in light winds when doing a turn. I seriously believe I'm not the only one thinking this way (as evidenced by other users' comments here) and wonder quite a bit if Moses does not bring a wing like this. This is a deal killer for some users. Therefore, business wise, for Moses it would be good idea to let people know if they are planning to bring a front wing like this so we could wait out knowing something good is coming.

Maybe the problem is a technical one that they are unable to solve, are still working on, or elsewhere on the journey. It may be quite a technical challenge to fit a significantly bigger wing with a longer chord onto the existing fluente/vorace fuselage. The Levitaz design, by accident or intention, doesn't have any constraint of this sort.

Hi Tom,
I am pretty sure that also at your level you would clearly feel the difference if riding both in one session.
They are quite different, both have a similar general feel though, true.
Cheers,
Frank

Frank,
I had a blast on the 548, my best session by far. So I'm sticking to it.
Did you see my email? Lost 2 screws....

Hi Tom,
sounds great. I am sure you will feel quite a difference when switching to the 550 again one day.
You got reply in your mailbox.
Cheers,
Frank
