How does it compare to a standard blue&white? Thank you for reporting!

Pretty much the same as comparing Spitfire to B&W (I think I wrote about that in Spitfire thread), except that low speed is similar now. I didn't compare them back to back ( didn't have B&W handy), so can't say if reversed wings can go slower than B&W due to combined lift from 2 wings, but I doubt it. Standard B&W is still way more stable though.

Couple questions.

Are you using the the custom fuse pictured earlier?

Were you riding straps?

Yes on both. That is why positioning is so important for me, strapless would be easier I guess.

There is also a vertical stability component in the production spitfire that you might not have on your set up.

The front of the fuse is blade shaped with about an inch of elevation to the front wing. Acts like a vertical stabilizer that could be important to the overall stability.

Just like taking the vertical tail fin off the standard zeeko aluminum foil would make it feel much looser, not having any of it on the front of the canard might be the loosest possible set up.

Still a ways away from getting in the water but I have three nose options to play around with. One has a small vertical fin. One has none, and one elevates the front wing above the fuse like on the spitfire. Using the stock fuse. Not that worried that its a bit longer than the spitfire. Should still workout strapless as long as I have enough tail to stand on.

back in march i've seen Jim Stringfellow's Facebook post. he made a canard set up and apparently liked it. I'm head over heels with Spitfire. don't care for any other foil at this time

Sorry, not yet, but excited to get on with it.

I bet Jim Stringfellow's set up is ideal for experimentation. Hope to hear more from that source over the summer. He is also squarely in the free ride carving demographic I'd hope to hear from.
