Ozone 4m uno for a high wind hydrofoiling?

I have a Cabrinha Relaunch 2.5 and a Ozone Uno 2.5, been using them for foiling for the last year and a half.
You will need 25mph wind at first, now I am happy with 20mph, up to close to 50mph worked the other day

Small kites make foiling easy

How much do you weigh ?

I need at least 24-25 knots (27-28mph) to get going @ 77kg with my 3.5m2 and not really in the sweetspot yet.

I would need a 5m2 to go in only 20mph.

But if you are below 40kg (88 pounds) it makes sense, yes

I have the Levitaz Aspect 3.0 foil strapless on a skim board and I weigh in at 185lb.
I am able to get up and stay upwind in under 20mph, but this would be the luls of the day, making it work, feeling underpowered.
25mph and up is where you will be happy.

In true 30 knots I think you could have fun with a 4M on hydrofoil. I have a cabrinha Genesis 2M no strut LEI I haven't tried to hydrofoil with it yet but I was messing around on a door style board in 25- 30 knots and was able to make it work so I'm sure it would work with a hydrofoil in that wind.

I was riding a zeeko blue/white with the carver wing and a 3.5m Cloud in 25knots. I am 102kg dry, had no dramas going up wind, doing on mast turns, general free riding in some big chop.

Ok, First go on the 4m uno. 15-25 knots wind mainly above 20 knots.
I was perfectly powered on the 6 reo so thought it a good time to try the low end of the 4.

How did it go? similar to the video above to be fair. The 4m is loops bigger and slower than the 2.5m in the video. Its less back stally and pivot turny too with my bar set up.

Over all I had a ball looping the hell out of the kite to get out of the water and on the foil. Once on the foil I could loop at any time anywhere in the window to shut off the power and run with the swell or pivot loop with the swell. Running with the swell in the 15 knot lulls was more difficult than my 6m. But in the 20-25 knots it was sweet and lush. I could have power when needed or shut it down. Perfect for waves.

As i'm still not perfect on my jybes I need kite power to hold me up and pull me through the jybe. So in the 15 knot lulls I couldn't jybe without loosing speed. That's just my lack of skill.

My conclusion is that its a worthy purchase and will be pulled out of the bag for when gusts hit past 25+ knots.

PS. Its 40% cheaper than a reo or endura too.... win, win. Oh for ****s and giggles I check out the 5m switch element price against the uno. Sorry Switch too expensive...
