i just visited the new mhl website, their construction has drastically changed, maybe it was all the shit talking on the forums the past couple of years.

wings and fuselage are one, look stout and a lot of options...

Well I stand corrected, never thought Nick would go back into production and wasn't aware of the new website, still I don't think I'd buy another MHL based on past experience.

agreed, those cross sections of the mast you posted a while back were surprisingly fragile looking

hopefully they did improve their construction, i see the prices are a reflection of the foil market getting competitive

I've owned a 2015 MHL foil+board going on 2 years and I love it. I've never had "foil envy". This foil set up does everything perfectly. I use the STD wings and I can foil as fast or as slow as I want to go. I'm careful with it so I don't know how it would hold up if I were to hit underwater rocks. I have run aground in sand and experienced no problems. I like how light it is. One day I picked up a friends non-carbon Slingshot foil and couldn't believe how heavy it was....so glad I didn't buy one of those.

I too have been on a Lift NF2 (Slingshot setup) since 2015. Nice build, pretty light weight. I'm not sure I would want a longer mast than the 104cm provided. Performance is good, I'm just free riding. Never had a worry with the pointed fuselage nose. My only complaint is that their clear coat is a little soft and is easy to chip or peel off in small bubbles around nicks from rocks etc. Some glazing compound and you are fine, but it does keep a little bit of upkeep if you foil in a rough shoreline.

Grigory.....I'm hoping to have a Ghost in OBX for our trip and you can try it then. I rode the Silencer last year quite a bit and it just wasn't balanced properly no matter what I did with shims and kept going back to the Hoverglide anyway. The Hoverglide was just as fast and having multiple masts really helps to ride in different depths and when practicing new moves. Just saying.

Also....what performance aspects are you looking to get from the foil?

I've also owned a Slingshot LF2 with Alien air and 42" dwarfcraft boards since early 2015 and have been very happy.
My heel side leading edge on the front wing has encountered a few sandbars with broken shell and has started to erode a little bit but It drives as good as the day I brought it. I emailed Nick@MHL last week and was told that the molds for all the LF2 wings were burnt in the fire and that there is no more stock and they will not be making more. I am a little disgruntled now as I have a foil that I can't get wings for. I thought they at least would have been able to CNC new molds and continue production to support their early customers.

Bugger with the wings :-?

What about repairing the wing instead (would be my choice), or get it repaired ?

Has the Slingshot LF2 really existed at least two years - time is flying...

I recently got a130inch redesigned 2017 lift foil. Rides great and nice construction. I'm a big boy so went with larger wings. Works for me cruising around(no interest in racing) and good low speed lift and fun in some small swell I tried recently. Positive is wings/fuselage is one piece = stronger, negative is more expensive to buy different sized wing. Considered the ghost whisper but 107cm mast don't think would have fit in my car assembled and aluminum fuselage. Prior lift mast was 40.5 inches I believe and new one is 36 inches. Know could buy smaller fluente Moses mast. Also smaller wings by Moses was a concern at my weight. Adam Withington video on the ghost whisper is pretty mind blowing what it's capable of though.

Interesting last few seconds of this video - efoil

Wow man, those look nice.

12 hun for the board seems a bit steep! 13 for the foil not so bad.
