recently I have been flying my 9m Sonic in over 30 knots. The height you can get on it is insane!

With a fully dedicated race kite, the right winds and a decent ramp, I am convinced a mere mortal could get well over 20m.

just don't get complacent with making sure the bridle is laid out properly. In 40 knots you can turn that bridle into a massive knot very quickly with any flapping in the wind.

I'm expecting an email tomorrow from their marketing people with a list of weights. She told me today:

I will come back to you tomorrow with more information about the kite, such as weights and material use.

To give you an idea about the positon of the kite when it comes to weight compared to other kite brands, see below:


Aero Ultra Light:
- is lighter then Flysurfer
- Par with Ozone R1V2
- Lighter then F-one Diablo V1 - Diablo V2 we don’t know the weight yet.
- Lighter then North Ace

The Aero is not only for foiling!

Was a bit affraid of the filling process in high-winds (gusts a bit over 40kn) after my experience with other 9m foilkites, but to my surpise the Aero 7m was completely filled before I could blink my eyes withouh pre-infation. It also rock-solid in the air, i really need to take all the tension out of the lines to get a small collapse that restored itself as soon as the lines get straigh again.

Really in love with this small size foil, imediatly broke my personal woo-record even when I was not fully overpowerd. Insane vertical lift and more hangtime than the best 9m tube while it is fast enough for last second corrections and helicopter landings.

Ok now you got my attention
Looking forward to trying a boosting session on one of those!

Received my own set today, here are my measurements on a kitchen-scale (official weights could be different):

7m std 1560gr
9m std 1900gr
11m UL 1935gr
14m UL 2360gr
17m UL 2810gr

17m flown today with a bit of sand packed, other sizes straight out of sealed bag:


Note that they come in 2 weight-classes: one with R1 V2-like cloth for the lightest weight kite for low-end foiling and one with a bit heavyer cloth for users that demand a longer lasting kite. I chose my 9m and 7m to be a bit more durable in high-wind foiling and twintip .

Compared to what? Any racekite with many cells and D-ribs will be heavier from the same cloth as a low-AR, low cell count freeride foil.
it is only slightly heavier than the R1 V2 (IKA listing) which has al slightly lower amount of cells. But that could be a case of rounding off on the IKA list and my scale not being calibrated.
