They got one in our shop :D

Might be able to test it, but not interested as I can see absolutely no use of such a thing :o

Come on Peter, it has to be at least as useful as an airplane that flies either direction.. or maybe a rifle that shoots either forward or backward because the user can't learn to turn it around..

(seriously, if you can learn to hydrofoil then you can learn to change direction)

Exactly! Had a go on the Brunotti TT foil last summer. What a joke, my 2005 Carafino foil was more fun and had better performance. What a display of mediocrity...

Jibing, surfing, carving or bombing at full speed, are the biggest part of the fun when hydrofoiling. Why limit yourself so badly with a TT ?

After the first sensation of flying over water, it is the efficiency and maneuvers that make it feel so good and keep it interesting in the long run. For me that is at least.z
Can't imagine that on a twintip really.

100% Agree.

We also tried to buy such a construction from a french startup, which was overall in our eyes still the best concept, as made for very slow riding low performance, as you wouldn't have performance on a TT anyway and which could be clipped on a normal TT. Already expecting it wouldn't be for fun for long, but just to try and to talk about first hand.
But as there have been problems with the order, maybe our fault, they just start to produce when bought and we lost some month with communication, we canceled the order.
Still sure TT hydrofoil is just a TTers dream. No real hydrofoiler I know is seriously interested in TT hydrofoil. I was interested myself in TT hydrofoil some years ago when I still have been TTer, but ended this dream after first serious nice sessions and jibes on a good directional hydrofoil.

And even more, as far I know all 3-4 TT constructions I have heard about have been created by non hydrofoilers or hydrofoil beginners...

Waaa waaaa waaaa
Purists are such dull people. How about trying it because its different? Or to at least have an informed opinion? People knocking it without actually having a go are like people with political opinions without a vote.

You are absolutely right, but on the other hand:

If you have had a look on the construction details of more than 20 different hydrofoils and also tried them and if you know the basic physical correlations. After looking at hydrofoil Nr. 21 the ridding performance may surprise you in some details, but not overall, also if it is a new concept as the nice Zeeko canard foil I tried or the various monos I tried.
So you have to decide yourself if you have to try foil NR. 22 if you can expect from construction details and physics that it will be far away from interesting or better skip to Nr. 23 which construction details shows better potential.

That's the point :naughty: :remybussi:

And as you read, we really tried to try it, to spend our money also if not expecting nothing, but fate was (not) on our side during ordering process.

Same here, tried to order one (and pay for it) to give it a go regardless of massive doubts in the concept, but it never happened, no idea why.

So, have YOU actually ridden a foil yet at all?

... I bet you eat soup with a fork, for the different experience.
