Rocky shoreline, Slippery reef, nasty oyster beds and their fresh water relative the zebra muscle. They cut deep!
Municipality is gearing up to renovate our local launch and i'm afraid it may never be the same.
Dialing in my drift launch this season.
Got my tetanus booster and now shopping for wakeskate shoes.
So many potential spots where it's just not worth even thinking about bare foot.

Because there is a lot of cold dense fog in the Pacific Northwest that may eventually permeate the brain and cause psychological effects.
Back to the topic I like my NSI foot hooks except for that I keep breaking them
i wisg they were made oir of a stronger material such as fiber reinforced plastic

Will definitely get some of these (one only for the front) or the Slingshot offering for when I move to my longest mast or when there's heavy chop.

Most jumps on a foil look so darn dangletastick! At least this guy can bone out a horizontal kick reminiscent of a boardsport. Takes a light set up for that one!
First decent still shot of a hydrofoil air and you guys would rather criticize his outfit.
This place has gone full Airstyle!

Well I have ordered foot hooks for this season. I've been strapless ONLY and can't imagine straps.
But I want to enjoy the process of jumping a foil, therefore hooks.
I have mixed feelings about how a jump looks on foil, but the height, float, and distance relative to wind energy looks too enticing.
BTW I think learning would have progressed much quicker with one front hook as opposed to strapless.

I wear skate shoes when I skim board. I actually converted my skim board into a foil board and wear shoes when I foil on it. Not a completely bad idea to protect your feet from sharp foils and board edges on shuvs. All so if rocky or shelly beaches. Our local spot is grass but we do have plenty of cockleburs in the grass. Not bad when they are wet from rain but when everything dries out you can't walk 5ft with out getting them in your feet.
