Of course... because I was the designer for zeeko foils from 2012 to 2014 till I started thekitefoil.com that became mantafoils and Europ2 / RL surely know well my masts profiles...
for info, we have till date 2 profiles... on used on manta 1 which is same as our current windfoil mast (14.8mm) and a second one which is 2016-2017 kite profile (13mm).
you can buy them cheap here:
http://www.mantafoils.com/e-shop/Parts- ... 3DpriceAsc
and yes it is e837 modified... a very good mast profile that I used on zeeko 2012 model first... I saw several brands who also started to use it lately for their carbon high end race foils...
Hi Renaudbarbier,
If I may ask, which profile was used on the 2014 Makaira Freeride front wing, which was also your design I believe?
I havent got the chance to test one of your current foils, but the 2014 Makaira keeps amazing me. So stable even in almost zero speed and jet also fast enough... great design! If your present foils are a progression of this concept, they must be sweet!
Sorry for going off topic...
Jaros

That was a custom profile.
The stability was thanks to the plane design...
Our latest foils are even more stable at high speed and more manoeuvrable at low speed.
A 2017 1000 usd manta aluminum with carbon wings is as fast as a 1800 usd 2014 zeeko... what a progress!

Hey Renaud,

looking to have go at building and would love to save myself the trouble of getting a mast in carbon right, but 55 bucks to send one of your non branded masts to Europe (italy), with the added risk of import duties on top (italy is very good at slapping on arbitrary duties) make me think it's worth having a go. I propbably can't building anyting in wood / carbon for the delivered price, but it's making me want to try!

Your europe only store dosent have them, any chance of getting euro delivery a bit more reasonable price?

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry guys.

It ships from dubai and 55 usd is nothing for 5000km travel!

Especially that the part cost is so low that total is cheaper than anything elsewhere.

I considered the Manta mast, as the $50US was tempting (now $65). But the add-ons were too much: $55 shipping, $200 for plate (or $220 tuttle), $20 for threading, $50 if you want it cut.

Not to mention it's a factory second!

I am sure it's a good mast, but Ithink there are better deals out there. Slingshot is $109 plus $68 for base plate ... with free shipping from some stores.

I had the same line of thinking as juandesooka. In the end I got the 96cm 2016 zeeko mast for 267eur shipped to NZ. I might have got the last one.
I really liked the look of the manta mast, but it would have cost quite a bit more baseplate included.
Renaud, perhaps you can answer, why is the baseplate so pricey? I imagine it's cnc machined out of a solid block of aluminium. Zeeko do away with the collar, which must bring the price down, but to compensate, need a 3 bolt connection, which makes it a little heavier and more chunky (but still acceptable to me).
Another thing, why no mast longer than 90? Is that the longest you can make it and still be acceptably stiff?
I was very happy to get the extra 6cm.

the plate is cnc machined from solid block and we sell mainly kf box masts so our volumes on those plates are too low to have a good price.

90cm is a good common length for most riders and it obviously keep stiffness higher. we then have the carbon masts for those looking for 100cm stiff masts.

we may increase a bit next year... not yet decided!
