once up to a real lick it seems to be a little off. I need to play about with the rear wing.
I've heard the same thing from someone else that got one. He said roll stability is a problem
I think I got to the bottom of the problem.
I was finding that when going off the wind I was having to put a lot of pressure on my back foot to keep stability. Yesterday it was really nice 15m conditions and flat so I had a play about with the rear strap. I put the rear strap back back to one screw from the rear and the front of the strap I put back 2 holes so the strap was tighter.
At first it felt odd as I was wider on my stance but upwind and more importantly, downwind, the ride was faster and much more stable. I didn't have my GPS on but I felt a lot faster and was more stable.
I guess more weight over the back is what's needed in my case. I am using the board that came with my Spotz 2.

You should go strapless, you can put your feet anywhere that way

Do you have any experience with the Spotz 3 Tuna? I'm trying to decide between the two and would love to know how they compare.

I tried briefly a Spotz Shark. Felt more stable (less playfull
) than my Tuna and it seemed that it was tracking upwind better but I had no GPS to confirm this.
For pure speed, I think my Tuna with the freerace front wing is still faster so I'm gonna wait for Spotz to add a faster front wing to the Shark before thinking of upgrading.

Nice review Tone. I felt the same way after upgrading from Spotz2 to Tuna. The fuselage/ mast/ wing junction was so much stiffer that it was immediately noticeable how much more stable it was and tacks and gybes were definitely easier. I look forward to trying the Shark, but I am really happy with the stability/ carve-ability ratio of the Tuna so I don't want to trade in too much more turnability since the stability is already good enough for me but I'm more surfer than racer.

This foil is so fast and stable !! Just reach Vmax36 knot, V10 35.5 and 32.5 on 500m ! I was lock at vmax33 knot with the tuna, definitively the shark goes faster !
In few weeks it gonna be 38 knot

Damn! That's fast! Did it take you awhile to get it dialed in or dI'd it work for you right out of the box? What position are you footstrap and tuttle box in? What foil were you riding before?

Hi,
It work direcly out of the box, just some setup with the stab.
I receipt it the day before the hydrofoil pro tour in france (because my sword RS break..) and i only do race.
After 1 month of use, i try to do some speed.. vmax=34.04 after few run.. one weeks later >36knot ! So i can pretty say that the foil works directly out of the box lol..
The main thing that impress me is the v500 v10s v100 that we can reach with it ! I'm over 32knot on v500 now .. (I was on spotz Tuna just before this one.. on my vmax was 32knot.. so i beat my vmax.. on 500m lol
)

Side question, is the mast to fuselage connection a pre existing standard like a probox (kind looks like a short probox) or is it a custom (non standard) conical connection?
