Not actually sure if it's called Spotz 4, but they just realeased images of the Spotz Shark today on their facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.p ... 769286085&
Interested to hear if anyone has ridden it.
I heard a while back that the new wing/fuselage would fit on the spotz 3 masts, but not sure if that is still the case.
Spotz really fell out of favor with racers with Spotz 3. Spotz 3 seemed like a decent foil, better built than Spotz 2, but just wasn't any faster than Spotz 2. Hopefully this one will get them back on top, they have been quite a bit cheaper than any other race options.
Seems like a lot of other race foils moved the strut further aft on the fuselage to get more stability, but it doesn't look like that has been done on this Spotz Shark.

Nope, not compatible with Spotz 3/Tuna masts...
I wonder who are the riders helping them develop their hydrofoils since Nico Parlier went with Mike's Lab.

Awesome thanks!
Does it fit the same board as the previous spotz foils? Same position of the tuttle box relative to the rear strap? I love my current board, but seems that most other foils have moved the tuttle box back on the board.

That hole should generate a cavitation bubble for extra lift

Adjustment screw for stab AoA? That's what the old ones used to look like anyway...

Hmmm, it just looks extremely close to the mast, maybe only 6-8 cm behind it (on the pic)
But Spotz has always had extremly short fuselages, so okay, thanks.

According to their site the new fuselage is longer, the front wing is higher aspect and has a new AoA versus previous models, and the strut has been stiffened. I wonder if that screw is more of a strut/fuselage trim adjustment than a stab/fuselage adjustment...
