As a non racer, I really like the thick grey lines slingshot use. Have them on most of my bars.

Thanks guys. I won't waste my time shortening lines.
Basically, I think I am riding somewhat underpowered and am concentrating on foil. Plus my habit on surfboard is keeping kite pretty low.
Reason I am going out in 12-20 knots, preferably under 18 is because my spots get a lot of chop and windwaves at higher wind. There's not any protected water.

I forced myself out of my comfort zone into some high powered conditions on the weekend and to help cope with the wind strength I went back to 24m lines from my now std. 27m lines.
The very first thing I noticed was the return to my early days problem of the kite getting low then faced with needing to power up to get steering enough to bring it back high.
This of course pulled me over a bit and racing off to oblivion.
It is a problem for non experts like me but I feel it is very related to being overpowered for my skill level, as when I get relaxed on the foil I can pay more attention to the kite and it never drops to the no return position.
I'm on the Spitfire which I have found likes more power and a lower more natural kite angle.
