Looking at foiling in the area around the last house in south Rodanthe. Any local knowledge or experience?

I wasn't really sure where South point of Rodanthe even was. Per a real estate website it's by KOA :)
I'm pretty confident that area is fine to foil in as long as you walk out to be at least in waist water level, better in chest water level.
I foiled from around Mirlo Beach in North Rodanthe to Real and back many times, just stay deep enough, it's fun to ride there.

Sand and minor seaweed on the bottom but you might end up stepping on crabs/shells if you walk too much.
Fishing nets are usually marked (but I did hit them with foil), so are the crabnets (but I did hit them with a 8cm door fin too). Just stay further away from buoys.

At some seasons seaweeds suck and catch onto the wing and there's not much you can do about it.
But overall I love foiling there.
