I definitely would not take an electric drill to my MHL carbon fuselage (if I had one) and doing same to my aluminum zeeko fuselage is not my first choice, though it is probably viable, especially for strapless.

My Hoverglide seems to have bolt spaced at 2" on both ends. I think m8 connecting the fuselage and m6 connecting the plate.

So slingshot is 2"/50.8mm or just somewhere in the area of 2"?
51mm is very close to 52 mm. 52mm is the measurement to the outer edges of 8 mm holes 48mm on center...

So, could it be the zeeko and slingshot share the same spacing? Too good to be true, probably, but has it been ruled out?

zeeko and slingshot do not share the same hole distance, unfortunately

Probably none do...
At least the Tuttle and plate systems are somewhat compatible between brands...

For mast/fuse issues then, options appear:
-pay the man
-Swiss cheese fuselage and adjust stance
-build adapter plates a la Houston Kiteboarding
-build custom fuse

But still, what exactly is the SS hoverglide spacing?

Just to confirm, Zeeko spacing is 48mm, or 47.87mm to be precise. But if you've got a zeeko fuselage, why not just order a short zeeko mast? It's not too expensive, 229 EUR on the zeeko website, including base plate. Taking off the euro tax will offset the shipping cost somewhat.
I fitted a stringy foil to a zeeko mast, and had to get another hole drilled, as it was already drilled for a liquid force mast. I filled the LF hole in and painted over it with model enamel paint. So that's also an option to get rid of the swiss cheese effect, or reduce it somewhat.

But could be wrong. I actually thought as and zeeko had same volt pattern but I guess not.

Thanks guys. It does seem like another zeeko purchase would be sensible.
The plate to board pattern for zeeko is 85x165 on my older plate, the newer ones have elongated holes to allow 90x165 as well.
90x165 is the more common plate to board spacing I think.
90x140 is also used and my plate has a second set of holes to allow 90x140, this would work with any board having a 90mm wide track system.

Mantafoils also makes a plate to fit several bolt patterns, and a version that adapts Tuttle headed masts.
So there are some good options for board/foil connection.

Mast to fuselage adapters are few. I think the idea is interesting and may become more common. I still have half a mind to make one, at some point...

The Axis, RRD, new Naish, new Slingshot masts will all fit. The masts all come form the same factory.

The spacing is 40mm from hole to hole.

I checked with Gunnar and when he says "new" Slingshot and Naish masts, he is referring to 2018 models which I guess aren't really at the dealers yet. He said the Takuma masts are also coming from the same factory so one more to add to the potentially "swappable mast" list. I have the RRD H-flight foil set with the 40 and 90 cm masts (newer 3 M6 bolt connection points, 40 mm spacing). It's a much lighter mast compared to current solid filled Slingshot. I had the chance to compare both full length masts directly on a scale; 2.0 kg for the slingshot versus 1.4 kg for the RRD). That's a pretty hefty difference and explains why Slingshot and Naish are switching, assuming the lighter aluminum construction holds up.

The factory producing these masts must be backed up because RRD ran short of 65cm masts (they just didn't anticipate demand for a stubby mast option) and they are having a hard time getting more in stock right now. So I'm spending way more than normal on a 40 cm mast in my shallow water location, while trying to hunt down a plug-and-play mast in the 65cm range........or going the frankenfoil route if all else fails. I might try a 15 cm extension on my 40cm mast

Update: The Houston Kiteboarding guys sent me a pic of the Takuma mast (top pic) and it does look like a swappable match for the RRD (3 M6 at 40 mm on center). We'll see
