I saw those when I was searching but they looked like plastic and was looking for g10.

I just researched them and it seems they are supposed to be tough and lighter.

Plastic would work just fine for it's application on the foil. Its a rudder, and takes virtually no side loading. Either way, insisting on stock part at 26 euro plus shipping is pretty silly. I'd find another on principle. Plenty of fins kicking about that anyone with a friend or two who kites can likely source one. Most come with a bit of rocker shipped into the base. Takes two min to sand that flat.

Try a smaller fin to loosen up the foil for better carving.

I agree about the price of 26 euro being high.
But somewhat in zeeko's defense, their dealers here can get you parts so you avoid international shipping and VAT.
Anyway since there are 2 screws on the stab, it is pretty low risk to try to rethread the fin I have.
In case anyone wants to know, the way to make casting epoxy threads work (for me, so far, with west system, system three and resin research, screws sized from m6 to 3/8") is to use a good epoxy with a little high density filler and a pinch of graphite powder to a syrup consistency.
And don't over-torque like a gorilla, of course.
Think i will try this this afternoon...
If it fails utterly and I lose my stab I will confess it here as a warning to others!

Dont forget
Changing the fin size can change the ride feel
Smaller fin a little looser feeling .
bigger fin maybe a little more locked in and stable feeling in yaw

I fixed my fin by drilling and taping two extra holes 3/8 offset from original holes.

They're G10. Or at least, the same stuff as most of my other fins are made of.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that 99.9% of fins are made in the same factory, with the same molds, and are just screen printed or painted with the customers logo.
