What's your favourite board and why ?

There's lots of talk on here of Foils and wings for obvious reasons, but very little about boards.

I've used the shinn Stubbo , I have a Moses T40 ( which I like ) and have had a go of the alpine foil access set up ,so I can appreciate the differences.

What are people's favourite lightwind and stronger wind boards and why ?

LF Happy Foil is light, medium volume and good in waves for my freeride Lift foil.

I have just changed from using a Slingshot Alien Air to a Nobile Foil Skim, with my 2015 Lift. The Alien Air makes the foil more stable and allows me to angle the foil over until the board is skipping on the chop without catching. I have achieved 44Kph with this setup and it stays really stable. The Nobile makes the foil far more sensitive in roll, it has a nice wide area under the front straps and slims nicely towards the tail so it doesn't catch the surface until fairly well lent over and skips on the water if you mess up a gybe. It makes the foil feel so much more nimble and I am achieving about 90% of my foiling gybes with it in both directions. So, for going places and speed I prefer the Alien Air but for the day to day freeriding I am mostly up to then the Nobile is, surprisingly, my preferred board.

Taaroa Pro RS. It's strong, it's super light. It has the best box system, the probox. The shape and dimensions are perfect.

When it comes to deck shape what do people prefer, Concave , flat or domed ?

Started on a Zeeko Air Wave 5'2 strapless, that was nice but as I wanted to go to the spot on a motorbike, I bought a Slingshot Dwarfcraft 42 / 3'6. And then I found out that practical reasons can lead to true love :
- the feeling on that board is just amazing (it's a real step up, things become more playful, lively, hard to explain),
- the deck shape is perfect (plus I got the 2016 version specifically to get the kick pad), the US box tracks allow me to play with settings.
- and in that size of mini pocket boards, it was one of the very few that offered foot strap inserts. Thanks to these, I tried my first jumps last two sessions so this feature is really a bonus not to overlook imho.

When it comes to deck shape what do people prefer, Concave , flat or domed ?

I really don't like a domed deck for foiling. Flat, thin and around 110 cm.

Had all 3 types of decks. Don't like domed deck for foiling, flat or concave deck didn't make any difference for me.

Alien air is Def my favorite by far especially if it's for choppy or surf like conditions, the board repels water and the convex bottom shape makes it so you can start your lean before you take off which is even more beneficial when going toeside. Also makes it so you keep your lean on touch downs where flat bottomed boards makes it level out which can feel awkward if your not used to it. The hefty nose rocker has saved me from many submarines as well when learning and the custom foil position is also nice to adjust for your style and preferred weight distribution.
Only cons were weight for jumping and the deep convex shape makes it harder to build up speed to take off on your super low end
