If you're really feeling lucky, then can jump to Alibaba, where there appears to be an assortment of foil shapes and sizes, including the ones sold by JNJ. That's next level!

There's one that looks really(suspiciously) similar to the Takuma

I've contacted the seller about that one. He mentioned that it's an open design, I didn't ask if the Slingshot clone was an open design. Maybe I'll order a sample of the Takuma.

this store has sup foil for $269 us (takuma?) and kite foil for $219 (lift style?). $150 shipping. Min order 1.
(But aluminum mast and fuselage with carbon wings)
if you can pay with PayPal and get buyer protection that way....how risky is it?

5 kg flex test setup, LF:
JNJ:
Red marks on the paper is JNJ, while green is LF. They both are within 15-20 mm. Disclaimer: I was sloppy measuring 85 cm offset, and this glass bottle of water weights slightly above 5 kg. I'm going to give the seller 5 stars, even though it required some DIY.

Wouldnt you wait and try to ride the thing first?
